'HELLO, PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HEART...'

The fierce battle for our hearts are ever ranging;
Physically, Mentally and Spiritually, it is been fought.
Every idle and conscious step results in decision making;
For whom have you and are you casting your lot?

The tables of both foes are readily set before all,
And the unseen universe watch without a blink.
Each decision will either be a step up or a fall;
To be caught on one side is but just a wink.

The invitations are of Good and Evil;
Its either a vote for Christ or the Devil.
The Devil says 'Please', but he woos to doom;
Christ cries 'Please', for you, is heaven's room.

Every now the call comes like that;
'Hello, Please Give me your heart...'
Choose wisely and never compromise,
If you want to live above the skies.

Reflection on the never-ending knock at man's heart and recounting how every step (Conscious and Unconscious) in our lives lead us either into the foe of Good or Evil...

 It's only sin that separates us from our Maker, yet He has made provisions for us, cos He never wants to lose us - He made us out of love. We ought to strife to hold on to this love which caused Him to give His only begotten Son...

What choice are we making today, in spite of our present state - even if we have sinned? Every new day is another chance to live aright.  © 2 years ago, Lavish Mawuena Mensah

'SAYING HI'

Taking thoughts after joining Google Blog,
And wondering of a nice poem as my first log,
Nothing really came up but just to SAY HI.

 It may seem interesting of me,
And wondering who I'll truly be.
Just because I spent time to SAY HI.

Without a friend here yet,
But soon am sure a few I'll get,
Because I wrote to you to SAY HI.

Just as a smile costs nothing but does greatly,

Saying hi to someone unknown does similarly.

Hence with much joy to you [reader], I SAY HI.

Unceasing thoughts of what to write now is springing,

But I've got save the rest for latter because night is falling.

So, the 'HI' will end here and until you read my next poem, it's BYE!

THANK YOU

Before God I laid my supplication,
He gave me all His attention.
I told Him of the inner contentions;
And He pointed to a direction;
Calvary! It was the Crucifixion.
Thank You Jesus, was all I could say.

Then I told him of the thorny roads of life.
He smiled and said, my son, Jesus has won the strife.
But perplexities are all I see, I added;
Hm, my son, I know you are really bothered;
It's true, perplexities are all around, but you are covered.
In Calvary's cost, it was included.
Thank You Jesus, was all I could say.

Brethren, whatsoever your issue may be,
The Blood on Calvary shouts, "LOOK UNTO ME"
For by His death you have been freed.
Cling to Him and from evil do flee,
All this is possible if you go on your knees.
Thank You Jesus, would be all you can say.
